After having seen the new Redmi Note 9 series presented globally and the Redmi 10X series released in China, today a new device of the Xiaomi sub-brand seems to float on the web; this is the entry level Redmi 9.
Redmi 9: The first real photos leaked online
A new photo that portrays the device in green and purple colors has just leaked online. The image shows us a smartphone with four cameras on the back, three positioned vertically with the fourth detached on the right. We then find a fingerprint sensor just below and an LED flash on the side.
The back design reminds us a little of the base Redmi K30 released in December of last year, with a circular shape that frames the photographic sector. Having said that, the material used seems more similar to plastic and not to glass, which will therefore allow the brand to lower prices slightly.
As for the specifications, the Redmi 9 should be powered by a MediaTek Helio G70 as processor, even if the new leak suggests the presence of a more performing Helio G80. The CPU should be paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory.
The smartphone will then have a 6,53 ”diagonal display, IPS and with Full HD + resolution. The camera inside the display will have a resolution of 5MP, while the four that we have seen on the back will include a 13MP primary, an 8MP ultra wide secondary, a 5MP telephoto and a 2MP depth sensor.
Among the other specifications we should find a large battery with a capacity of 5000mAh, a USB type-C port (the reversible one) and fast charging with a maximum power of 18W, which is not bad for an entry-level device.
For prices, the smartphone is expected to arrive in China with a price of around 160/180 euros.
