After seeing it leaked online a couple months ago, the new Redmi A2 is now on sale in Italy at a starting price of only €109,90. Furthermore, like its predecessor, the new entry-level device comes with the Android Go operating system from Google and not MIUI; let's find out more.

So let's go to the specifics starting from 6.52 inch dot drop screen with HD+ resolution (1600 × 720), aspect ratio of 20:9 and support for Night Light mode.
The smartphone is powered by the processor MediaTek Helio G36 with a maximum clock of 2.2GHz. The chip is then accompanied by 2GB or 3GB of LPDDR4X type RAM e 32GB of internal memory of the eMMC 5.1 type expandable through microSD cards up to 1TB.
As for the photographic sector, the Redmi A2 integrates one 8MP main rear camera, along with a 0,3MP depth sensor. In front we find instead one 5MP selfie cam which can shoot 1080p video.
From the point of view of autonomy and recharging, Redmi's new entry-level comes with one on board battery 5000mAh for up to 19 hours of video playback and support for recharge from 10W (unfortunately through microUSB port).
The Redmi A2 is a Dual SIM + microSD smartphone, it supports 4G networks, 2.4GHz Wifi, FM radio, Bluetooth 5.0, has a 3.5mm audio port, GPS L1, Glonass G1, BDS B1I and Galileo E1.
Finally, in terms of size and weight, Redmi's A2 is 164.9mm high, 76.75mm wide, 9.09mm thick and weighs 192 grams. The smartphone runs with the Android 12 operating system (Go Edition). The brand promises 2 years of regular updates.
