Xiaomi is about to launch its new low-cost smartphone, the Redmi A3, which promises to offer superior performance and functionality to its predecessors, the Redmi A1 and A2. Thanks to some photos and information leaked online, we can already have an idea of what the device will look like and what its technical specifications will be.
Redmi A3: the first images and features of the new low-cost smartphone
The Redmi A3 presents itself with a modern and attractive design, with a large 6.71 inch display with HD + resolution it's a 90Hz refresh rate, which guarantees greater fluidity and responsiveness of the screen. This is an important innovation for this series of smartphones, which until now had been limited to offering a 6.52-inch display with a 60Hz refresh rate.
On the back, the Redmi A3 sports a rather large camera module, which houses a dual one 13 megapixel main camera and a 0.08 megapixel auxiliary camera, as well as an LED flash. There front camera, however, is 8 megapixels and sits in a small teardrop notch at the top of the display.
As for performance, the Redmi A3 should be equipped with a octa-core processor with four cores at 2.2 GHz and four cores at 1.7 GHz, probably belonging to the family MediaTek. The RAM memory will be 4 GB, While the internal memory will be 128 GB, expandable via a dedicated microSD card. These features represent a clear improvement compared to the Redmi A2, which stopped at 2 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of internal memory.
La Redmi A3 battery will be 5000 mAh, with support to the quick charge from 10W via a USB Type-C connector. The operating system will be Android 13 in the Go edition version, optimized for devices with limited resources, customized with Xiaomi's MIUI interface.
The Redmi A3 will be available in three colors: blue, black and green. The price has not yet been revealed, but it is assumed that it will be very competitive, as per Xiaomi tradition. The official launch of the device could happen soon as the retail packaging has already been shown in some images.
