As we already know, the next flagship of Xiaomi's sub brand, the Redmi K40, is now around the corner. The brand has in fact confirmed that the smartphone will arrive within this month, in particular a launch is planned for February 25th.
Redmi K40: Screenshot reveals the aspect ratio and design of the next flagship killer
A few days ago, the general manager of Redmi and vice president of Xiaomi, Lu Weibing, announced on Weibo (the Chinese Twitter) that the smartphone will adopt a screen with a hole for the front camera and that this will be one of the smallest holes ever seen on of a device.
Well, today Redmi product manager Wang Teng shared a screenshot to celebrate after exceeding 500 fans on the Chinese social network. The screenshot was taken aboard his Redmi K40, revealing some details about the smartphone.
Let's start with the resolution of the display or at least that of the screenshot, or 690 x 1533, which means that the device uses a screen with an aspect ratio of 20: 9. We also see that the status bar is hardly affected by the hole for the front camera.
According to Chinese media, the fact that the status bar is lowered only slightly compared to the previous generation (Redmi K30 Pro) is a clue that the smartphone will adopt a small hole, therefore as previously anticipated by Lu Weibing.
Furthermore, in recent days we have learned that the Redmi K40 series will use a very high quality AMOLED display, made with the best E4 luminescent material from Samsung, the same technology that we find on board the Xiaomi Mi 11, this leads to an increase in brightness, contrast, while also supporting 120Hz refresh rate.
Finally, in China the design of the Redmi K40 is thought to be similar to that of the render in the cover image, i.e. with very thin side and upper edges, while the lower one will be slightly thicker.
