The well-known Japanese brand Sharp has just launched its first entry-level smartphone of the year, its name is SHARP AQUOS wish.
SHARP AQUOS wish presented in Japan: the entry-level with Snapdragon 480, Google Camera Go and NFC
The SHARP AQUOS wish comes with a 5,7-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels (HD +) and a teardrop notch. It houses a single 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, both of which work with the Google Camera Go application.
The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC. This chipset is paired with 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB of UFS 2.1 memory. While as an operating system we find Android 11 with two generations of guaranteed operating system updates.
On the connectivity front, the SHARP AQUOS wish is dual SIM (nano + eSIM), 5G, dual band WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS) and includes NFC. It also includes now-rare features like a 3,5mm headphone jack and a MicroSD card slot.
We then find a 3.730 mAh battery with support for USB PD 3.0 fast charging, a fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C port.
Finally, like the other smartphones of the brand, the smartphone has an IP67 degree of protection and also comes with MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-810G certifications.
The price of the SHARP AQUOS wish will be revealed in January 2022.
