Tribit's audio proposal is made with rubbery and soft to the touch materials, both for the upper control panel and for the lower base, equipped with a circular ring that allows the speaker to be kept stable if placed on a flat base. The handle is also made of soft silicone which allows for easy transport as well as for possible attachment of the product for example to tree branches, hooks etc... I underline facilitated transport as the speaker has dimensions of 96 x 96 x 180 mm and a weight of 980 grams, definitely justified by a large battery but above all by the presence of the audio elements, wrapped in a tightly woven two-tone fabric.
In this regard, inside the Tribit StormBox Pro we find a 3-inch subwoofer, 2 40 mm speakers and 2 passive radiators for an output of 7,5W x 2 + additional 25W, for a total audio power of 40W. Furthermore, the speaker is able to reproduce 360° sound, therefore it can be listened to from every angle, but above all Tribit's proprietary technology is integrated, i.e. the your head, legs and arms, in short you will want to dance and let loose.
As already mentioned, the upper part is used as a control center for the speaker functions, offering the volume + and – button as well as a button distinguishable by its circle shape, which will allow you to play/pause, skip the music track and call up the virtual assistant of your phone/tablet, all by means of clicks (single/double/triple/long), but if necessary you can also manage calls. We then find the on/off button, the button with the Bluetooth symbol for pairing with devices (the speaker can memorize up to 8 devices, automatically connecting to the last device in memory) and then the XBASS button which will enable the technology which I just told you about a few lines above. There are also 5 small LEDs that will light up based on the residual charge percentage of the Tribit StormBox Pro.
Moving on to the back of the speaker, we find a door that protects the charging input, which will take place via a USB Type-C cable, but here we also notice the presence of a USB-A port, being able to connect a cable that will act as a bridge between the speaker and a device, such as a smartphone, a pair of headphones, a tablet etc.. as it is possible to use the large battery of the Tribit product as a power bank. In this regard we have a 10000 mAh unit available (2 5000 mAh cells) which offer up to 24 hours of continuous use at maximum volume. The complete recharge takes place in 7 hours, a value that may seem high, but I assure you that after 24 hours of pure fun and sonic excitement, you will be so tired that you will allow yourself 7 hours of sleep.
Tribit StormBox Pro is IP67 certified allowing you to take your music anywhere, even in the pool or at the seaside, without the fear that the product could be damaged. In terms of connection and stability of the same, it reaches up to 30 meters in open field, we can count on a Bluetooth 5.3 chip provided by Qualcomm, which not only guarantees very low latency but also offers the multipoint connection in order to connect two devices simultaneously, managing for example music on one and calls on the other. If you purchase two Tribit StormBox Pro, you will be able to connect them in stereo mode for greater audio involvement, also being able to count on the aptX-HD codec, with very high quality performance.
The audio is really brilliant and the power is damn exaggerated, but without distortion. You can really host a party at home, but also outdoors (take a good look at the test I carried out in the video review). Even calls, considering the presence of a microphone, can be managed with good quality, although the best performance is when listening to music or podcasts/films/TV series.
It seems fair to me to say that Tribit StormBox Pro is among the best speakers around, considering the term quality/price ratio. Possibility of pairing two copies for a party mode, infinite autonomy, audio power without distortion, excellent construction, waterproofness and much more at a list price of 119 euros, which can be purchased on Amazon. Keep an eye on the product, because sometimes it goes on offer with coupons that can be redeemed directly from the purchase page. Last time there was one for 30 euros which brought the price down to 89 euros... what can I say I already recommended it for 119 euros let alone discounted!!!
