The Xiaomi Mi Max was officially presented to the beginning of last month and during this time we have come to know it from every point of view, so much so that you also get a summary review that we recommend reading | Xiaomi Mi Max Review (photo) |. The success of this phablet was, as usual, good value for money with regard to the hardware it was equipped with, of course, to the large display and record-breaking autonomy.
However, it seems that Xiaomi is not happy with the results obtained and it seems that it is about to release a new variant (remember that the Xiaomi Mi Max already has three variants) of the slightly "weakened" Mi Max. In fact, through a recent leak image (below), it is possible to see the information section of the smartphone with 2 GB of RAM memory and 16 GB of internal memory, while for all the remaining hardware (and aesthetic) components there should be no variation.
If this were true, we would also have a price drop proportional to the aforementioned specifications that would make it an even more attractive smartphone. In fact, if we consider that the basic variant with 3/32 GB and Snapdragon 650 is offered at around € 203 (1499 Yuan), we can assume that this "low-specs" variant may have a price that is around € 175 ( 1299 Yuan).
Currently there are no official confirmations of what has been said, given the absence of this variant from the Xiaomi proprietary store. Consequently, we can assume that it will be added in the future and that, given the recent announcement by Hugo Barra of the upcoming presentation of the Mi Max in India (June 30), it will probably be presented in conjunction with its three "superior" variants.
