This year the phablets are attracting a lot of attention and after the Nubia Z11 Max and the Xiaomi Mi Max, Meizu is ready to challenge the competition with the new M3 Max.
The M3 Max comes with the typical Meizu design (it is similar to the M3E) with a fully metal body. There will be several 4 colors available: Champagne Gold, Gray, Silver and Rose Gold. The M3 Max is thin (thanks to its thickness 7,9 mm) but not the Mi Max (7,5 mm). The Type-C USB port, 3,5 mm jack and speakers are all located on the bottom of the phone. The mBack fingerprint sensor is located at the front of the phone underneath the display as always.
Inside, the M3 Max mounts an octa-core chipset Helio P10 from 1.8 GHz and 3GB of RAM. The display is a 6 inch IPS LCD with 1080p resolution. Unfortunately, an 2K resolution will not be available. For storage we will have 64GB expandable via MicroSD up to 128 GB.
The rear camera mounts a Sony IMX258 sensor from 13 mega-pixels, Autofocus and double LED flash. The front camera is instead from 5 mega-pixels. The battery is 4100 mAh with 24W fast charging technology (it will be possible to recharge the phone up to 45% in half an hour). Payment by fingerprint (Alipay and WeChat) will be supported. The other features are pretty standard like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, VoLTE, infrared etc.
At this time only the version described above (3GB + 64GB) appears to be present, which will cost 1699 Yuan (226 €). The sale will start on September 15.
