The Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has just released the new Android 11 Beta 1 through the "Developer Preview Program". The new ROM will be available for both Vivo NEX 3S 5G and iQOO 3.

Note that these firmware are intended for use by developers only and it is best not to install them on the devices we use on a daily basis. This is because they are not stable enough and present the problems that we list below:
- The in-display fingerprint scanner does not work.
- The front camera does not work.
- The status bar icons show an exception: the camera notch and the corner of the screen are overlaid with the icon.
- When Chrome first starts, "Enable syncing?" screen does not show any login information to the existing Google Account.
- In Settings, the last item is "Device information emulated" instead of "Device information".
- There are 2 system update pages in Settings (one in “Settings> System Update”, the other in “Settings> System> Advanced> System Update”). The user may be confused.
Vivo says the second version of Android 11 Beta will be released in late July and will stop the release of beta versions in August. That is when Google is expected to release the stable version of Android 11.
