This 2020 has been a decidedly difficult year in many respects, but a sector that does not seem to have suffered big losses, is that of smartphones, not so much in the top category but above all those of the entry level and mid range has contributed to pumping up the finances of the various Telephony OEM, thanks to the so-called smart working that once upon a time for countries like ours was just an English word and nothing more. Hence the vivo company, which for some time has brought its technological fruits also here in Italy, is preparing for the launch of new devices, including the new vivo X60, but net of what we have just told each other, too a low-cost device will soon appear at the beginning of 2021 and to confirm this is the recent certification of the vivo model V2099A, by TENAA.
The juiciest details are missing, but what the TENAA certification already suggests is that we will be dealing with a 4G smartphone, but to enrich the information about vivo V2099A also come the 3C certification and Google Play Console, which reveal the presence of an HD + 1600 x 720 pixel LCD panel.
It is not yet clear which CPU will power the device, but it seems certain that it will be a solution provided by Qualcomm, perhaps the Snapdragon 662, as well as the diagonal of the display should be between 6,3 and 6,5 inches.
A first render of the front of the new vivo V2099A also emerged, which presumably should belong to the Y series, which reveals a classic flat type screen with a drop notch. The render, however, also highlights a third button, which should be dedicated to calling up the voice assistant, we only hope that it is programmable with a function of our choice, If so, we can venture to a quantity of RAM of at least 6 GB but also 8 GB like on the Y70.
Also from the certifications it emerges that the vivo V2099A will have support for fast charging at 18W. In short, an interesting base albeit poco innovative compared to models already on the market, but before drawing hasty conclusions we await the evolution of the story, in order to have more certain elements on which to consider.
