The developers of the MIUI 11 I'm always at work to give us useful features from both graphic point of view of the custom skin of Xiaomi, both from that process. Especially in a historical moment in which smartphones are increasingly similar to each other, the need for users to customize their device has become almost urgent. Also in this the MIUI comes to meet us with the possibility to calibrate the display. This new features has been discovered by team developers XDA, which we thank as always. In particular, this time they discovered in a beta of the system the possibility of calibrate the display colors more thoroughly than simply choose warm or cold colors.
Xiaomi experiences advanced display calibration controls in MIUI 11
The new advanced controls calibration parameters are available in a page of settings hidden in theMIUI 11 latest build. With the new controls, you will have the opportunity to choose the color range from four available options including Enhanced, Original, P3 and sRGB.
In addition, there will be sliders for individually control red, green and blue (RGB) color levels, sliders to adjust the tone, saturation and those for the contrast e gamma.
All changes made can be viewed in one preview window placed at the top and all are automatically saved unless you click on the "Cancel changes" or "Restore default settings" buttons at the bottom. It is worth noting that these types of advanced controls are typically offered by custom kernels and it is quite unusual to see them in one MIUI 11 build stock. It is not clear when Xiaomi plans to implement the new display controls for a stable build of MIUI 11 or which devices will have this new functionality. We expect to find out more in future versions of MIUI 11 but not the most recent ones like MIUI 11.1.
It is clear how Xiaomi cares about the user experience, although sometimes it is not very clear why the MIUI 11 team of developers do not solve some bugs that haunt users. In any case day by day the almost-perfect custom skin which they share Xiaomi, Redmi and POCOPHONE it reaches maturity, gradually smoothing out the edges. We count that until the exit of the MIUI 12, the current stable build achieves a degree of perfection that rivals competitors like Oppo, which they have excellent ColorOS 7.
