As almost every year, this 2021 also began with the launch of a new flagship: lo Xiaomi Mi 11. But not everyone is interested in buying the best performing smartphone on the market, while others just can't afford it. This is why mid-range devices come into play, which bring less performance and lack some features, but still remain more than excellent for the common user.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite close to launch: Snapdragon 775G and 5x optical zoom
Well, as you may have already guessed from the title, in this post we refer to the next Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite, or so the younger brother of the Mi 11 presented a few weeks ago should be called.
According to the latest rumors revealed by the famous Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi would in fact be in the final phase of the development of the mid-range device. In terms of design and hardware, the smartphone will use an OLED type display, therefore of quality, and with a single hole for the front camera. For performance, however, the Mi 11 Lite should be equipped with the Qualcomm sm7350 SoC, also known as Snapdragon 775G.
At the moment, the Snapdragon 775G is not yet official, but rumor has it that the CPU uses a 6nm EUV process from Samsung and an A78 core, codenamed “Cedros”. The SoC supports up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3 memory, display with high refresh rate (at least up to 120Hz). So in terms of performance, although it is a Snapdragon 7 series processor, we will still have excellent performance.
Finally, as regards the photographic sector, according to the leakster Digital Chat Station the smartphone will be equipped with a main camera with a resolution of 64 megapixels, while another sensor will be coupled to a lens (presumably periscope) for an optical zoom of up to 5x. The latter is a very rare specification in a mid-range smartphone and could make it the most interesting alternative to flagships on the market.
