At a distance of about ten days from the official presentation Xiaomi Mi Max is finally official |, a first teardown related to the new Xiaomi Mi Max was finally uploaded to the network. It allows us to find out what solutions have been adopted by the Xiaomi engineers to integrate all the hardware onto a body that is then thick.
From the teardown made by the IT168 editorial team we have mainly found two things:
- The constructive quality of the Xiaomi Mi Max is comparable to that of the Mi5 top range, although the materials used are metallic and plastic instead of glass (or ceramic in the Mi5 Pro version);
- Hard-to-do repair of the smartphone in case of some damage is not very difficult because of the use of very little glue replaced instead of screws.
This last point could be of great interest to Italian users who will decide to buy it, since there is no legal guarantee from the manufacturer for us. Unfortunately, however, we do not have a yardstick regarding the ease of repair but, for that, we wait for the iFixit editorial staff to carry out the teardown.
In short, in spite of the mid-cost cost, the design features do not really reflect this market segment, as the Xaiomi Mi Max could well be included in the high end of the market.
Before leaving, we want to remind you that the version with Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 has achieved a score on AnTuTu just below that of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 | Xiaomi Mi Max reaches 81 thousands of points on AnTuTu |.
