We have been talking about the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 for at least two years now, given that the presentation of the Mi MIX 3 dates back to October 2018, but to date nothing real has ever been revealed.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will arrive in the second half of the year (leak)
Well, apparently the situation could be unblocked soon, with a known Chinese blogger who just revealed something very interesting to us.
The leakster would have said that in the second half of 2021, quite a few devices with cameras under the display will make their debut. Among these we will have the next foldable from Samsung, the Z Flip3, the foldable from OPPO, the smartphones of Vivo, ZTE and, finally, the long-awaited Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 (not in that exact order).
As we learned a few days ago, the Mi MIX 4 will in fact be the first smartphone from Xiaomi with the new camera technology under the display. A technology that to date we have only seen on board the ZTE Axon 20 5G, but with bad results: very low quality images.
The Mi MIX 4 should instead adopt a more mature technology, whether it is second, third or fourth generation is not yet clear and in any case it will be more terms for marketing than anything else.
Furthermore, again with the Mi MIX 4 a device with four ultra thin edges and all of the same size should finally arrive. As you know, thin edges are now mainstream and nothing exceptional on a flagship, but what still seems complicated for many brands is to thin the lower edge to the same size as the other three edges.
Clearly this would make the device perfectly symmetrical and much more attractive to most users. If we add to this that we will not have any obstruction on the screen for the front camera, we will find ourselves in front of a real dream phone for lovers of the "clean" look.
