After showing us part of his technical card through teaser images, Xiaomi finally announced the new RedMix 3 smartphone a few hours ago. The 12 January date, initially scheduled as a presentation day, is actually the start date of sales in China. But first to analyze the selling price, we carefully observe what are the technical features of Xiaomi Redmi 3 in their completeness:
- Display from 5 inches with HD resolution;
- SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 with octa core CPU (4 × 1.5GHz + 4 × 1.2GHz);
- 2 GB of RAM RAM LPDDR3;
- 16 GB of internal storage with expandability up to a further 128 GB;
- 13 Mpixel rear camera with PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus);
- 5 MP camera front camera;
- Battery from 4100 mAh;
- Dimensions of 139.3mm X 69.6mm X 8.5mm
- Weight of 144 grams
If it were a smartphone produced by a Western brand such as Apple or Samsung (we know that the latter is Oriental but has a strong market share in the West), surely the selling price would take it into account. Most importantly, the body is entirely made of metal, which contributes to a premium effect both to the eye and to the touch. As a Xiaomi smartphone, however, we are happy to announce that the official sale price is of 699 yuan, which at present equals approximately 99 €.
Surely the importers who will market it in our country will slightly raise the price but, considering that this is a real average priced range as an entry-level, we believe it will also spill here.
