After announcing the review of its cloud gaming service policies, NVIDIA began testing the availability of GeForce NOW for devices running the Android TV operating system.
Until now, the platform was only available for SHIELD TV devices, from the brand itself. But it looks like things are about to change, as support for the Google TV system has been added in the latest version of the app.
In the change log, NVIDIA explains that latency and quality on an Android TV can vary by device. In South Korea, the LG U + UHD3 set top box is the first to receive optimization for the cloud gaming service.

The trend now is to support more models. Reddit users also reported that the v5.27 APK was successfully installed and managed to work on Xiaomi Mi Box S and Sony TV 4K 2015.
NVIDIA also adds that support for GeForce NOW on Android TV in general is still under development. The company's plans include the official launch in the near future, with dedicated support for "selected" devices, that is, not all users and related devices equipped with Android TV will enjoy the service.
