Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP for short) is the recovery software for Android users among the most appreciated. In addition to providing the possibility of back up / restore, flash ROM, deleting partitions and more the software also includes a file manager and theintegration of ADB. Getting a TWRP build running on a device is often the first step towards promoting it to a custom development scenario, since it is possible to restore the device in case of accidental brick, perhaps after flash. And now, the TWRP is finally available on the new Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus have been unveiled earlier this month. Redmi 5 has an 5,7 inch LCD display with 1440 × 720 resolution (18: 9 shape ratio) and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor with 2 GB of RAM / 16 GB of memory or 3 GB of RAM / 32 GB of memory and a battery from 3300 mAh. The elder brother Redmi 5 Plus has a screen from 5,99 inches with 2160 × 1080 resolution (18 form report: 9), Qualcomm SoC Snapdragon 625, 3 / 4 GB of RAM and 32 / 64 GB of storage space while the battery is a unit from 4000 mAh.
Both smartphones fall into the medium / low band of the market, but the selling price makes them really attractive. In fact, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 can be found at 120 / 135 euro depending on the variant, while the Redmi 5 Plus costs about 150 / 180 euro. This makes that the modder community, thanks to the official release of TWRP, is able to pull out very functional ROMs adding potential to the MIUI 9 on an Android Nougat base currently mounted on the two smartphones.
But do not waste any more time and if you are among the users who love to fiddle with your device and you have recently purchased one of these two samples then download the TWRP to begin moddare, clicking on the buttons below.
