We are all awaiting the official news which should communicate the launch date of Mi Band 5. The brand new smartband by Huami, but with the Xiaomi brand, it will be among us within this month as already announced. But will it be the only one? We are aware of several variants (Pro and Lite), although we have no news about the availability of one or the other in the European market. But we also have news of a new device, belonging to the smartband genre, that is Amazfit Band 5. What will this product be? We don't know, but we have some ideas.
Mi Band 5 will arrive this month: but Amazfit Band 5? What is it, but above all what differences does it have with the Xiaomi smartband?
Before seeing the first features that we have come to know of, it is necessary to remember something about the manufacturer, or Huami. Contrary to what was rumored a long time ago, Huami is by no means a sub-brand of Xiaomi: the Chinese giant is just a company that relies on it for the development of the Mi Bands. So now the question arises: what will Amazfit Band 5 ever be? Let's see the details and try to find out together.
According to what is known, the new Amazfit Band 5 will have a battery from 125 mAh like the Mi Band 4 (with NFC) and will be equipped with the technology Bluetooth 5.0. Among other peculiarities we have the water resistance up to 50 meters (5 ATM), heart rate control, the possibility of being able to count on different sport modes, the much loved GPS and a screen AMOLED.
Given the features it will have on board and also seen the name, we can certainly say that it will be one smartband. But why make one with the same characteristics as the Mi Band? If we consider that This is NOT the same company, theoretically Huami would have every interest in producing such a small object. Furthermore, we know that the new processor is being studied Huangshan 2 and therefore could do so that this chip debuts its own smartband.
We don't know when and if this product will come to us, but considering the English language on the box that was found by colleagues from AndroidTR, the possibilities are many. But this smartband will be really successful you think? Will it not be a "rebrand" of the famous Mi Band?
