One thing that is just not clear is the update plan that Xiaomi has put on the track in relation to the MIUI 12 update. There seems to be no logic, neither linked to the price range, nor to the hardware, nor to the longevity of the smartphone. On the one hand this thing angers many users while on the other hand it gives unexpected surprises to many others, such as the owners of Redmi 6 Pro who for a few hours can benefit from the MIUI 12 interface, complete with security patches updated in August 2020 .
Redmi 6 Pro was launched in the summer of 2018 and we remember that it was the design and hardware basis of Mi A2 Lite, which instead based its operating system on the Android One project. Returning to today's update, the device will probably not receive Android 10, at least not soon, but it is surprising that it has received a Global version considering that Redmi 6 Pro has never officially crossed the borders of the global market, remaining an exclusive than the Chinese / Indian one.
Redmi 6 Pro also updates to MIUI 12 Global Stable [Download link]
The update arrives as MIUI 12.0.2.0.PDMMIXM and has a weight of 644 MB, adding the August Android security patches. If you haven't received the update on your device, you can download the ROM in recovery format from the button below.
MIUI 12 focuses many of its functions on Privacy, Security and Multitasking, for example showing all the sensitive behaviors of an app. It offers a completely renewed design with lots of animations, dark mode 2.0, along with new features such as floating window, new control center and much more that we have often told you on the pages of this blog. There are many devices that have received MIUI 12 but there are just as many that have not even seen the shadow of any update yet and the most absurd thing is that updates are often released for a smartphone based on the region of belonging, such as Mi Note 10 which received the MIUI 12 in the Global version but not in the EEA version. In short, a real confusion that we hope will be resolved soon, because the community is increasingly annoyed.
