We are at the end of this 2020, a long and hard year that has upset many certainties that we had in everyday life but which apparently does not seem to have scoffed at companies like Xiaomi, which net of difficulties experienced at the beginning of the pandemic, seem having been even more productive in the launch of new smartphones, although it must be said that never before have we seen rebrands of the same model offer us this year, and on this POCO did school.
But apart from this premise, the desire to excel the smartphone market in the high end of the market is not lacking and so after the first rumors that have seen the future Xiaomi Mi 11 as protagonist (if anything it will be called that since someone also suggests the name of Mi 20) here are the first rumors about the Redmi flagship, or the K40. The rumors began to flood again after the news of the announcement of the next high-end SoC from Qualcomm, aka the Snapdragon 888, was given.

Needless to say, the competition for who will use this processor first has begun, but this time Redmi will also compete. To break the news is the CEO of the brand who confirmed the arrival of a new smaartphone equipped with the latest Qualcomm effort. Lu Weibing, through a post on Weibo, expressly stated that Redmi will also be among the first companies to benefit from the new processor, without however going into the merits of which smartphone will be a candidate for this primacy.
But all the clues point to the future Redmi K40 or K40 Pro, even if the new year could change some cards on the table, as the latest rumors (not yet confirmed) suggest that the company seems willing not to continue with the K series but to want to use a new nomenclature for its flagships.
