Android 12 plans to renew the "split screen" feature

The news that Android 12 will bring are many. In the last period we have seen several features that have emerged from the teardown of the application. Although this procedure does not say with certainty what the functionalities of the operating system will actually be, it can make us understand how Google will move in this direction. Between application hibernation e advanced Wi-Fi password sharing, there is also another news that the twelfth release of the operating system will bring us. It's about a function that we already know in reality, but which will be modified in a very useful way. Let's go see the details.

Android 12's "split screen" mode will be much better than Android 11's - here's how it will transform

According to what the team of 9to5google, the feature called “Split Screen” will be changed in the future. Before seeing how, a recap of how to use it: opening the "multitasking" of our device updated to Android 11 we will see all applications open in the background. By holding down on one of these, a tab with written on it will open Block, App information e Split screen. Using the latter function, we will be able to choose two applications open in the background to use together. As? By dividing the screen in two: top and bottom.

Android 12 will take this feature to the next level. Let's see the difference between now and later in the images above. In the future it will be possible to choose the couple immediately but the new thing that will be introduced is in the dividing strip in the center between the two applications. This time is only used to scroll the screen and give more or less space to one or the other app; later by double-tapping, we will be given the opportunity to quickly swap the positions of the two applications.

This feature should be called "App Pairs”, Sounding similar to the Samsung feature. Having said that it is not clear when Google will release this update but according to the members of 9to5google, before a few months we will not hear about it at all officially.
