Officially, these versions were moved to unsupported category on January 31st, but the company continued to release critical security patches for previous builds. According to statistics, Jelly Bean is now run by around 1% of active Android devices.

In 2012, the release of the now “canceled” version of Android was accompanied by a complete redesign of the operating system interface. Google developers have improved the fluidity of animations and they also took care of supporting 60fps refresh rate for some devices.
