Netflix has a number of blockbusters in its catalog, but before the official premiere on the platform, a select group of subscribers can access the films and series that will be released in advance. The platform uses this group as a "thermometer" and quality test. Apparently though, the streaming giant wants to expand this pool early access. This could be great news for subscribers. essentially the Netflix previews will be available to more people.

Currently, approx 2.000 subscribers Netflix are privileged to receive early access to unreleased projects before launch in order to provide quality feedback to the platform. According to the Wall Street Journal, Netflix plans to expand the Preview Club to “tens of thousands” by other subscribers around the world to collect people's reactions that could be used for make last minute changes to movies and series of the platform before its wider release.

Apparently, this kind of change happened with the movie Don't Look Up, initial reactions to which indicated it was too serious, forcing Netflix to adjust the pitch of the story ahead of release. In the film industry, it is common for this kind of Audience testing is done before release, but Netflix seems to want to get even closer to its audience, which is great news considering that the platform has lost a large volume of subscribers this year.
In short, Netflix previews will be available to a much larger group of users so that the giant can provide last-minute changes in a more painstaking way.
