Unfortunately as we know there'Google's Phone app it is now mandatory for almost everyone. In particular the xiaomisti have seen the MIUI dialer fail which was really convenient and easy to use. To replace it there was the counterpart made in Mountain View which, although functional, is not as perfect as that of Xiaomi. However the US company he is thinking of improving it more and more to achieve excellent quality standards. The latest news above all it is very interesting, let's see what it is.

UPDATE AT THE END OF THE ARTICLE - 09/04/2021

Google Phone or Phone app will have a feature that allows you to automatically record calls from unknown numbers. Beautiful, is not it?

Has been discovered by the guys from XDA Developers that the Google Phone app will receive an update shortly. This will provide the possibility (and we'll see why we say possibility) to record all calls in a completely automatic way, even those coming from unknown numbers. Everything was discovered within lines of code of the homonymous application (version 59).

Google's Phone app will record calls from unknown numbers

The first string on the feature mentions a disclaimer, which states:

You or the other person on the call may be in a country where registration consent is required. Everyone will be notified in advance that the call is being recorded. It is up to you to obey the laws on recording conversations. Recordings are stored on the phone only .

After this disclaimer, users will see a dialog box. This will ask if they are agree or not to activate the recording of calls of numbers not in the directory. There will be two options:

  • always records
  • cancels

By choosing the first, you will, of course, give your continuous consent to this function. Selecting the second one, the next time we will be asked for permission again. Strings also mention a switch for function, which should be displayed in the app settings once the feature is launched.

Recall that although the company's Phone app is available to everyone, call recording (to date) is usable only in some regions of the world.

UPDATE - 09/04/2021

After a specific month there are reports that the feature is already on the way to some devices. Specifically, a user who responds to the name @theyashreddi on Twitter (via XDA Developers) showed that his Xiaomi Mi A3 has just received the feature. Once the service is enabled, the user can automatically record calls from numbers not present in the contacts. You can also enter dialed numbers to always record and determine when you want to delete these records.
