ASUS ROG Phone 5 tested on Geekbench with Snapdragon 888 and 16GB of RAM

In the previous days we saw the upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 5 be certified by the Chinese authorities TENAA and 3C, while today the device was caught on the Geekbench database.

On the Geekbench benchmarking platform, the smartphone with model number I005DA (the ASUS ROG Phone 5) is shown with the new Snapdragon 888 on board. RAM and runs with Android 16 OS as the operating system. In Geekbench's single-core and multi-core tests, the smartphone scored 11 and 1125 respectively.

As for the other specs, TENAA's certification revealed to us that its dimensions are 172,834 x 77,252 x 10,29mm and that it houses a whopping 6,78-inch display. It could also be equipped with an OLED panel with support for a high refresh rate.

The ROG Phone 5 will be powered by a 6.000mAh dual-cell battery with its 3C certification which revealed it could come with 65W fast charging support.

Finally, the first images of the ROG Phone 5 that have appeared so far suggest it is equipped with a secondary display on the back. The images also suggest that the Taiwanese company has partnered with Tencent Games to deliver an optimized gaming experience.

In any case, ASUS has yet to confirm the launch date of the ROG Phone 5 but most likely it will be launched after February 12, or after the Chinese New Year.
