A few weeks ago we saw the next ASUS ROG Phone 5 appear on the Chinese certification site TENAA; the smartphone had the model number ASUS_I005DA. Well, today a new variant of the ROG Phone 5 was always caught on TENAA, this time with a slightly different design.

The new variant of the ROG Phone 5 on TENAA has the model number ASUS_I005DB and a simpler design as it does not sport the ROG LED logo with RGB lighting and the Tencent Games logo. This suggests to us that the smartphone with model number ASUS_I005DB may be a cheaper version of the ROG Phone 5.
In fact, this ASUS ROG Phone 5 “Lite” is likely to rival the smartphone's Black Shark 4 (model number PRS-A0), which had recently also appeared with a relatively simple rear design.
In any case, on the back of the ASUS_I005DB we find curved edges and a horizontal camera module with three sensors and an LED flash. The smartphone measures 172,834 x 77,252 x 10,29 mm and we should also find a second display, as on the more premium version, although from the images it is difficult to distinguish it.
Finally, we should find a 6,78-inch OLED screen, a 6.000 mAh dual-cell battery and the Android 11 operating system.
