In recent months, Chinese smartphone manufacturers are increasingly lowering the prices of devices with 5G technology. One such brand is Coolpad which seems ready to launch a new smartphone called Coolpad X10 which is rumored to become the first 5G smartphone priced at just 1.000 yuan, around 124 euros.
Coolpad X10 will be the cheapest 5G smartphone
According to the company, the device will be unveiled on August 12 at 15:00 Chinese time in an online event. In addition, at the same time, Coolpad Group, Tianyi Telecom and Unigroup Zhanrui will also sign a strategic cooperation.
The upcoming Coolpad X10 will be supported by China Telecom and will use Unigroup Zhanrui's 5G Unisoc Tiger Ben T7510 chip. The chipset is manufactured using a 12nm process and packs quad-core A75 CPU + quad-core A55 CPU, as well as a PowerVR GM9446 GPU. Finally, the chip supports a download speed of 2 Gbps and an upload speed of 1 Gbps.
The Coolpad X10 will be the second smartphone to be powered by the Tiger Ben T7510 SoC, later Hisense F50 we saw a few months ago. Unfortunately we have no other info on the features, so we will have to wait until launch.
We point out that Coolpad was the brand to launch the first 4G smartphone at the price of 1000 Yuan, when other manufacturers were switching from 3G to 4G devices. Could the same story repeat itself?
