Microsoft announced today that the image generator DALL-E3 of OpenAI, the latest innovation in the field of generating images from text, is now available free of charge to all users of bingchat and Bing Image Creator.
Microsoft makes the DALL-E 3 image generator available for free on Bing Chat
DALL-E 3 is a breakthrough in generating images from text, powered by deep neural networks that can generate realistic and diverse images from natural language suggestions.
Microsoft lists three main features of DALL-E 3:
- Relevance and following suggestions: The DALL-E 3 follows user suggestions more accurately and reliably than any previous model. For best results, Microsoft recommends providing a higher level of detail in the tip: the more information you provide, the more detailed the final image will be.
- Consistency: The DALL-E 3 produces more realistic images than other models under a variety of suggestions. The images are not only visually appealing, but also logically consistent with the suggestions.
- Aesthetics: The images produced by the DALL-E 3 are not only realistic, but also creative and artistic. Images can be uniquely styled to fit the user's creativity.
At its developer conference in September, Microsoft announced that it would deepen its collaboration with OpenAI, introduce support for DALL-E 3 in Bing Chat, and announced that it would be free and open last weekend. The feature has been gradually rolling out over the last week or so, first to Bing Business users, then to Bing Image Creator, and now to everyone.
Users can access DALL-E 3 via Bing Chat or Bing Image Creator, entering their suggestion in text and receiving a generated image within seconds. Users can also edit their suggestion or request a new image if they are not satisfied with the result.
Microsoft also declares that it is committed to ensuring the responsible and ethical use of DALL-E 3, respecting copyright, privacy and user safety. Microsoft says it has implemented mechanisms to prevent the generation of inappropriate or offensive images and that it constantly monitors user feedback to improve the service.
