It is certainly the best-selling mobile accessory in the world. One year or poco more since its launch in June 2016, the Mi Band 2 has also been highly successful in terms of sales thanks to the introduction of the display, much demanded by fans and users of the first model - or the first models that you want - of the bracelet Xiaomi. What we expect this time with the next generation of Mi Band is, however, a "upgrade"Substantial: let's not forget that to see real news with Mi Band 2 we waited two years after the presentation of first generation. Most noteworthy, however, were the intermediate models, with only white LEDs and a heart rate monitor respectively.
So we can say that the next successful Xiaomi smartband upgrade can be unveiled during the 2018, bringing with it many innovations two years later by Mi Band 2. But what to expect then?
The most insistent rumors talk about the introduction of wireless charging: The function of extreme comfort, as it would not force the user to remove the hardware from the bracelet, would definitely accept and probably also avoid wearing the bracelet. To this, a chip should be added NFC that would complete the offer of mobile payments already provided by Xiaomi on the latest smartphones, although, unfortunately for us Italian users, the latter would not be exploitable as it is only compatible with the Asian Mi Pay circuit.
Another novelty that would please many Xiaomi fans would be the implementation of a GPS module which would allow you to better monitor your fitness activities and why not forget your smartphone to go jogging.
The rumors then move on to the question . Many fans would require a large display, but I find this solution quite unlikely since, with the release of Amazfit Bip, Xiaomi has almost covered that smartphone market band with a highly competitive price and with the best features. So why make a identical device to one that is already on the market?
To conclude this quick overview, I would like to leave you with a question. Would you still want to buy a Mi Band if it was double? Or is it economics the source of the success of this Xiaomi device?

The GPS as far as I'm concerned is already a substantial improvement.
Adding the stopwatch to the mi band 3 would already be enough for me to take a significant step forward in terms of functionality.
