Another rumor about Xiaomi Mi 6: flat screen and Snapdragon 835

The Redmi Note 4X is the first Xiaomi smartphone of 2017. Although it is a "pleasant surprise" (despite the presentation being in the air for some time now) the real highlight of the company for the next few months will be Mi 6. The wait is at stars, the rumors about it have been circulating for months, chaining each other and throwing fans into confusion who no longer know who to listen to. The last one that has been added to the list in the last few hours concerns the display and the processor. The news (obviously not confirmed by Xiaomi and therefore to be taken with pliers) comes directly from Weibo, as often happens, thanks to the post of the user @Mocha Socialist Workers.

According to the source, Mi 6 will be equipped with flat screen (and not curved as learned from other corridor voices) TFT LCD 5,2 ″ with 1080p resolution. The user also added that the SoC mounted on the device will be the Snapdragon 835 and not the much talked about Pinecone, a processor created "in house" by Xiaomi itself. There are two main factors that affect the genuineness of the rumor. First of all it must be remembered that there could be multiple versions of the smartphone, as we had already reported on numerous occasions, each with different characteristics, as happened for Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus. This means that any Pro version of the terminal could show off a curved display and a different chipset. The second point to take into consideration is Samsung's monopoly on the first batch of the Snapdragon 835. According to some sources, the South Korean company would have bought most of the first batch produced by Qualcomm, not leaving enough components available to allow other companies to produce mass of devices with the same chip. According to some insiders, the news in question has been inflated to the point of exaggeration, but we do not feel like excluding it entirely.
