Built the flexible smartphone screen as thin as a sheet

It was just a few days ago that Oppo officially unveiled a revolutionary device with flexible screen, namely Oppo. Unfortunately, the hopes for lovers of futuristic devices have been broken as it has been stated by the same brand that the smartphone will not have a very simple life. But the certification EUIPO has confirmed, on the other side, that it will arrive in Europe. The technology that takes this type of display to the next level is always Chinese. It was in fact built one flexible smartphone screen as thin as a sheet of paper.

Northwest Polytechnical University features a paper-thin flexible screen that bends and doesn't heat up. This is the future!

November 29 to 17th China ASEAN Expo which was held in Nanning, la Northwest Polytechnic University showed his new project: a New generation flexible electronic display, as thin as a sheet of paper. In addition to this technology, the university also presented a transparent screen prototype suitable for televisions. We have seen a similar thing with the Mi TV LUX from Xiaomi. Let's go see the video showing both devices.

According to what we can see in the video above, the device manages to bend at a 360 ° angle. It is actually a glass / plastic sheet (we know it is not 100% glass) that allows it to be ductile like a sheet of paper. The implications are obvious: it is elastic, but its fragility is disarming. But no: the university itself stated that the prototypes built in its laboratories are not easy to break. A step forward therefore that would allow this type of technology to make its way more and more on the market and be distributed en masse.

It should be remembered that a smartphone is not only made of a screen: the internal components such as microchip and battery are not yet flexible, therefore it turns out poco useful technology at such a time.
