Only a few weeks ago Philippe Starck, the designer of Mi MIX, had revealed the presentation video teaser of the second generation of the most famous phone concept in the world, perhaps. But today, however, between a news release featuring Notes 8 and a news on MIUI 9, an image of appeared Mi MIX 2 which has greatly intrigued us.
The leaked image represents the back cover of the new generation of Mi MIX and ... oh well, look!
We premise: we have no certainty, much less any confirmation about it and, in fact, the image seems almost like a rendering of wanting to be picky. But as always we comment with full knowledge of the facts.
The back cover would mean that the new Mi MIX 2 may have one dual rear camera, located in the position where we found it on Mi Note 2 and on the first generation of Mi MIX. In addition, the flash would flank one of the two lenses and ... there would be no space for the fingerprint sensor on the back. What does it mean?
It means that probably on board Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 we could find the long-awaited fingerprint recognition system inside the display or an unlocking system by facial recognition.
Another indiscretion that emerges from this image certainly concerns the glossy "glossy" effect of the materials, which suggests that Xiaomi would not have abandoned the ceramic as constructive material of its devices. But, on the other hand, an intensive use of ceramics on Mi MIX 2 would slow down - as already happened - the production of the devices and therefore the possibility of a back in is not excluded polished metal.
What do we expect from Mi MIX 2?
Among the leaked specifications, let's remember that the most plausible ones are:
- JDI display from 6 inches
- SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 835
- rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor from 12 Megapixel
- front camera with 5675 Megapixel OV5 sensor specific for selfies
- battery from 3400 mAh
... and it would seem that the September 12 can be presented. But we have not received any official news from Xiaomi, so we just have to wait!
