Gionee is one of those brands that only the most smartphone enthusiasts from China will know. This is unfortunately also due to the fact that the Chinese brand never seems to have grown like its Asian competitors, remaining a small company in the motherland and almost unknown outside of China.
Gionee S12 Lite announced with MediaTek Helio A25 and 3 rear cameras
In any case, there is apparently one country in the world interested in its products: Nigeria. In fact, as announced by Gionee, the brand will launch the new Gionee S12 Lite in the African country on 5 October.
The Gionee S12 Lite will be a model aimed at the entry-level range. But let's start with the design that sees a 6,52-inch diagonal front display, with IPS panel, a resolution of 720P and a drop notch at the top for the front camera. Camera that adopts a modest 8 megapixel resolution.
Moving on to the back we find instead three sensors of which a 13 megapixel main lens, a 5 megapixel ultra wide angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor.
The smartphone then adopts a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and integrates a battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh.
As for performance, the Gionee S12 Lite is equipped with a MediaTek Helio A25 processor, with 8 Cortex-A53 cores and a frequency of 1.8GHz, hence the go-to CPU for low-end devices.
Unfortunately, since the smartphone has not yet been officially launched, the selling price is not known. However, we expect a cost of less than $ 100.
