Although Google continues to implement new policies to make Android devices more secure, researchers continue to find flaws in the operating system that could compromise the privacy and security of millions of users around the world. The Check Point Mobile Security team states that RottenSys malware 2016 started to spread in September and 12 infected devices are 2018 4964460. Users in China appear to be the main targets of malware, since it has been adapted to use the advertising platforms of the Chinese technology giants Tencent and Baidu. According to CheckPoint, cybercriminals who implement the software have also tested a new botnet campaign through the same command-and-control server.
