Haylou is a brand that we have known for some time and that we know belongs to the Xiaomi ecosystem, focusing its production not only on TWS earphones and headphones but also on smartwatches, among which we find the Haylou LS02 Pro, also known as Watch 2 Pro and which we just tested these days. Its strong point is undoubtedly the price, around 16 euros via the discount coupon EMANUELEIA FULLA to be placed in the cart of the official store. We have many features and software that largely derives from the Mi Band series, but precisely at a cost 4 times lower. Let's find out together this fantastic and cheap smartwatch in the complete review.

DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
Haylou LS02 Pro is similar in design to the Apple Watch or Amazfit GTS, proposing itself with dimensions equal to 48,82 x 37,70 x 10,83 mm and a weight of 51,4 grams including strap. In this regard, the strap is made with a skin-friendly silicone, offering a quick release with a 22 mm pitch for changing with other straps easily available on the market, obtaining a completely personal outfit. The thing I liked is the closure, not only with a classic buckle, but also incorporates a slot to insert the part of the strap that remains outside, just in Apple style, obtaining a firm closure.
The frame of the watch is made of light metal with a matte finish that gives elegance and robustness at the same time and then there is the IP68 certification, for swimming in the pool, for showers, etc. even if we do not find swimming among the sports that can be monitored. There is no microphone or speaker but only a button on the right side which will be used to turn on / off the display, an action that can also be performed using a wrist gesture. If the button is held down, it will also turn on/off the smartwatch.
Haylou LS02 Pro offers a 1,85 inch TFT IPS HD display with 240×284 pixel resolution, protected by a 2.5D processed tempered glass, with rounded corners on the edges. Values that may be disappointing, but which in reality do not affect the visibility of the panel even in direct sunlight but above all the thing that I really liked is the perfect view from every angle. The display covers 65,8% of the surface therefore the frames that wrap around the panel are quite showy but nothing dramatic especially in relation to the competition. The brightness of the display can be adjusted to four levels but there is no automatic adjustment via an ad hoc sensor, but know that at 50% you will be able to cover the whole day in terms of vision without any particular problems.
On the back of the case we find the magnetic pogo-pins for recharging which takes place by means of a magnetic cable with a proprietary connection and then we have the optical sensors dedicated to the various measurements of health parameters. It is excellent that the sensors are dedicated, therefore green light for heart rate and red light for SpO2.
HAYLOU FUN COMPANION APP
Haylou LS02 Pro can be paired with a smartphone/tablet via the Haylou Fun application, available for Android and iOS, counting on an always stable Bluetooth 5.0. The coupling takes place quickly and once inside the app, we realize how this is strongly inspired by Xiaomi's Mi Fitness. Same animations, same tabs and pretty much the same settings.
In Home we find all the measurements made, including those relating to sleep with differentiation of states, such as light sleep, deep sleep, REM phase but also if we woke up during the night. Unfortunately naps are not monitored, but the time accuracy is decidedly high and astounding. Then we find the cards for steps, heart rate, stress, calories, SpO2 and if you are female also the card for the menstrual period. There is no GPS but if we want to record the track of an activity we can start monitoring it directly from the application.
Finally we find the settings relating to both the objectives and the clock, managing for example the receipt of notifications, customizable for each application on the smartphone, activating the sedentary reminder and changing watchfaces, drawing on around 100 dials available from the app or customizing with one your photo.
MENUS AND FUNCTIONS
From the home of the Haylou LS02 Pro we move within the menus with swipes: downwards we access quick functions where we can activate / deactivate the DND, adjust the display lighting, search for the smartphone or enter the settings, swipe right or left to access quick tabs, including daily activity summary, heart rate measurement, SpO2, sleep data, weather, remote music control and notification panel.
In this regard, the notifications are not synchronized with the smartphone, therefore read on one or the other device they will remain in memory. Also we can only read the content (no photo, no audio, no emoji) but not answer as well as for calls, we will receive the caller ID but we can only mute the ringtone and that's it. Finally, with an upward swipe we access the actual menu of the watch, also being able to choose between three different styles: list, icons or Apple Watch-style mobile icons.
Among the functions already mentioned we also find those relating to respiratory relaxation, stress monitor, calendar, calculator, stopwatch / timer, alarm clock with the possibility of setting the time directly from the smartwatch and whose vibration is sufficient to wake you up without you staying asleep. Finally we find the flashlight function that will illuminate the display at maximum intensity allowing you to make your way in the middle of the night if you have to go to the bathroom, for example, and finally the possibility of using the clock as a remote control for taking photos and videos. This last function unfortunately in my case, with the use of realme smartphones, did not give positive results. The command is perceived, but in practice it does not take pictures, but performs a slight zoom.
SPORT AND RELIABILITY COLLECTED DATA
Haylou LS02 Pro is not a pure smartwatch in functions nor a sportwatch, but we can still dedicate time to physical activities, monitoring up to 100 different activities. Not all of them have dedicated metrics and therefore choosing one or another activity will only serve to differentiate the monitoring in progress, but for the main sports and not only the metrics are complete and precise, such as for example for jumping rope which recognizes the count some jumps.
We have sensors dedicated to heart rate complete with alerts for abnormal frequency and SpO2 (Realtek 8762C chip), with decidedly excellent reliability, comparing the values returned to professional products, we often have similar results. Then there is the sleep monitor, stress monitor and of course the step counting, decidedly accurate (only a 3/4% overestimation). Just compared to the Mi Band 8, the results of activities and monitors in general are superimposable and here it really comes to say, but why should I buy a Mi Band that costs 4 times as much as this Haylou LS02 Pro? In fact you don't have to, because as mentioned at the beginning of this review, the brand is part of the Xiaomi ecosystem and therefore you won't have to worry about updates either. Overall with this smartwatch we can enjoy a 360° smart/sport experience without particular needs but still with a reliable and complete daily report.
AUTONOMY
Haylou LS02 Pro brings a 260 mAh battery as a dowry. The manufacturer promises a duration of 20 days with basic use of the watch but in my case, by always leaving the cardiac measurement, SpO2 and stress active, as well as sleep monitoring and receiving many notifications, I managed to get to about 7 continuous days without having to reload. In practice, I could have left the charging cable at home and faced a short trip. Naturally by setting manual measurements of the health values, the autonomy can easily reach even 15 days, in any case the recharge takes place in about an hour and a half.

PROJECTED IMPACT
The Haylou LS02 Pro smart watch pleasantly surprised us, especially in relation to the selling price. Only €16,06 for a device that has proven to be valid, both in terms of software and the accuracy of the data collected. As written in the title, it is even better than a Mi Band 8 but costs 4 times less. Naturally it is a basic product, not a sportwatch but a fitness tracker just as the smart functions are not really "smart", but on the other hand those who approach this type of product are not demanding users.
This is not to say that the product is not valid, in fact, the basic health data is quite reliable as well as the step count is quite accurate. So if you were thinking about buying a Mi Band or similar products I strongly advise you to contact this Haylou LS02 Pro, among the best purchases you can make at a very small price.
