Towards the end of last year, Hisense, a well-known Chinese TV manufacturer, launched the Hisense A7 5G, the world's first smartphone with E-ink display and 5G connectivity. Today about a month later the brand presented the version with color screen, the new device is called Hisense A7 CC.

The Hisense A7 CC is similar to the Hisense A7 5G, except that it comes with a colorful E-ink display instead of a monochrome panel. Therefore, it has a price a little higher at 2399 yuan, about 310 euros, instead of 1999 yuan, 255 €.
But what are the two devices different? Mainly the Hisense A7 CC sports a 6,7-inch E-ink display of similar size but with an RGB pixel arrangement. Also, the PPI (pixels per inch) drops from 300 to 100 on this model.
Display differences aside, the A7 CC is nothing more than an A7 5G both inside and out and can be considered the true successor to the Hisense A5 Pro CC from early 2020.
Under the hood, the smartphone features a UNISOC Tiger T7510 chipset with support for 5G connectivity. The processor is then paired with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory.
Other features include a 3,5mm headphone jack with AK4377AECB audio DAC for high quality audio, single front and rear camera, fingerprint sensor, an additional programmable key on the left side, support for dynamic and constant refresh rate, super linear speaker, different lock screens, several changes related to the E-ink display and a refined user interface based on Android 10.
Last but not least, the Hisense A7 CC is has a 4.770mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging and is available in two colors (Obsidian Black, Moonlight Silver).
