After weeks of teasers and leaks, Huawei's sub-brand, Honor, has finally presented the Honor Play 4 and Play 4 Pro; let's find out more!
Honor Play 4 and Play 4 Pro official in China with Kirin 990 and MTK 800
Let's start with the Honor Play 4 Pro which uses Kirin 990 combined with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory.
The smartphone has two cameras on the back, with the main one incorporating the Sony IMX600 1 / 1,7 ″ sensor with a resolution of 40 MP and a RYYB filter. while the second camera offers 3x optical zoom (5x hybrid and up to 30x digital zoom). It has optical image stabilization (OIS) and takes 8 MP photos.
The phone can record 4K / 60fps video and compensates for the lack of OIS on the main camera with "AIS", stabilization powered by ISP Kirin.
We then find an LCD display from 6,57″ with 1080p + resolution and a double hole that houses the 32MP main selfie camera and the 8MP ultra wide angle.
Finally we find a 4.200 mAh battery with 40 W charging support.
The Honor Play 4 Pro is currently available in China at a price of 2.900 Yuan (€ 365).
Moving on to Honor Play 4, we have a larger device with a 6,81 ″ IPS LCD screen with 1080p + resolution. Unlike the Pro version there is only one camera with 16 MP resolution.
The rear instead sees four cameras with the main 64 MP, an 8 MP ultra wide secondary, a 2 MP macro camera and, finally, a 2 MP depth sensor.
The Honor Play 4 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 800, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory and has a microSD slot (cards up to 512 GB are supported).
Finally we have a 4.300 mAh battery with 22,5 W charging.
The Play 4 is in pre-order in China at 2000 Yuan, around 250 euros.
