During the presentation event of the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, the president of Motorola's mobile division revealed that they are preparing a high-end Moto G which will not only integrate the new Qualcomm chip but also very interesting functions for productivity and entertainment, including desktop mode, just like Samsung and Huawei devices, thus allowing you to connect your smartphone to an external screen and use it as a real PC.
In reality, the project that already in 2011 with the Atrix 4G model brought the desktop experience of Motorola to users is resumed, but at the time the implementation of this function was a bit complicated and more a feature concept than a finished functionality , but now thanks to the new generation processors also Motorola will be able to have its say in a definitive way.
As stated by Motorola's CEO, desktop mode will be a feature that will be included in their phones running Android 11, but it's unclear if current Moto Gs on the market will also benefit from this feature via an update, but we assume desktop mode it will be exclusive to high-end processors.
