The sad political soap opera that sees the US and China as the protagonist does not seem to end and among the most affected companies we undoubtedly find Huawei, banned for its technologies that could also be banned in other countries such as France and the United Kingdom. But the strength of this company is to know how to respond and it has already demonstrated this in the smartphone market and now also in the automotive one.
Among the actions taken against the restrictions we find in fact the expansion of its own operating system, or rather two, such as HarmonyOS and Hongmeng OS, which will be implemented on a large scale in smart devices, notebooks, tablets and smartphones.

But the novelty of today, which marks a further step towards its own independence is the announcement of 3 new OS for cars based on Hongmeng. The first, called HOS, follows the molds of the Android Automotive operating system, being basically a variant adapted by Hongmeng for vehicles.
Equipped on the dashboard of the car, HOS will provide voice command, visual recognition and audio optimization functions, among other features, to offer an interactive experience to users.The second system is called AOS and has the EAL 5+ safety certifications and ASIL-D, ensures intelligent steering, making the car even more efficient.
Finally, we have VOS, an open source system dedicated to the intelligent management of the vehicle as a whole, accompanied by the Vehicle Stack, which offers specific features of the systems based on the context in which the car and driver are located.
Who knows what the first cars will be equipped with these operating systems?
