iQOO Z9 official in India: Dimensity 7200 5G chip and 120Hz AMOLED screen

THEiQOO Z9 has been officially presented, marking the global debut of the new smartphone owned by vivo. This device stands out for its processor Mediatek Dimensity 7200 and for its 8 GB of RAM, which can be doubled thanks to a software algorithm. The Indian market will be the first to benefit from this launch.

The device boasts a AMOLED display from 6,67 inch with Full HD + resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and touch sampling rate of 300 Hz, with the 16 MP f/2.0 front camera which is integrated into a hole on the screen.

On the back, the iQOO Z9 features a square island that houses two cameras: a 50 MP main one with Sony IMX882 sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 2 MP secondary for depth. Video recording reaches a quality of up to 4K at 30 fps.

Il Funtouch OS 14 operating system of alive, based on Android 14, is the software heart of the device. There 5.000 mAh battery supports 44W charging and vivo includes a charger in the sales package. In India and some other markets, a case will also be included in the box.

As for connectivity, the iQOO Z9 supports two nano SIMs, but the second slot is hybrid and can be used for a micro SD card with up to 1 TB of memory. Unfortunately the device does not have NFC, FM radio or a 3,5mm audio jack.

Bluetooth connectivity is at version 5.3, while the supported Wi-Fi standards are a/b/g/n/ac/ax. Thanks to the Dimensity 7200 chip, the iQOO Z9 is 5G enabled and supports dual standby.

The smartphone will be available in dtwo eye-catching colours, Brushed Green and Graphene Blue, the iQOO Z9 has a price of INR19,999 (approximately 220 euros) for the 128 GB memory version and INR21,999 (around 245 euros) for the 256 GB version.

Le sales of the iQOO Z9 will begin tomorrow, March 13, for Amazon Prime subscribers in India, while everyone else will be able to purchase the phone 24 hours later, on Thursday, March 14, on Amazon India and iQOO.com.
