In this 2017 Xiaomi has achieved excellent results, both in terms of sales and territorial expansion, also landing in EuropeBut the company still aims higher looking for strengthen its position in the offline sales channel. This is why the Chinese smartphone maker has chosen Deepak Nakra as the new director of offline sales for the Indian market.
It is interesting to note that Nakra worked as a sales manager for Samsung India (South and West India) for the mobile division of the Korean company, e this new collaboration coincides precisely with the ambition of Xiaomi to conquer the first place in India.

We welcome Deepak Nakra in the Xiaomi India family! We enthusiastically announce that Deepak will now drive offline sales of Xiaomi India. Deepak has worked with numerous brands and mobile phone providers and brings with it 20 years of sales and marketing experience.
It's been around nine months that Xiaomi is focusing its energy on offline sales development, and in the turn of that poco time the results have been impressive, about 20 times higher than at the beginning of the adventure.
The company already has many Mi Stores in several key cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Gurgaon etc ... Xiaomi has even tightened one partnership with the supermarket chain of the Future Group, the Big Bazaar, to expand its reach. In addition to this, the company is planning to expand its presence offline in the country and of have 1500 offline stores in 30 city within the 2017, with the hope that the 30% of sales on Indian territory will come from the offline channel.
Meanwhile, with its attractive smartphone launches, aggressive pricing and offline expansion, Xiaomi managed to earn 22,3% in the quarter ended in September reaching Samsung, which registered the 22,8% of shares by volume, according to the Counterpoint data.
