Master Lu releases the ranking of the hottest smartphones (and the coldest ones)

The well-known Chinese site Master Lu has just published the ranking of the temperatures reached by smartphones on the market for the first half of 2021.

Master Lu releases the ranking of the hottest smartphones (and the coldest ones)

As we can from the image above, the Meizu 18 with Snapdragon 888 ranked first, reaching 37,2 ° C.

Master Lu claimed to have selected models equipped with Snapdragon 888, Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 865 / 865Plus for the ranking. These three processors offer high performance, wide application and a high reference value.

Among the models with Snapdragon 888, Meizu 18 outperformed the Mi 11 Pro at 37,20 ° C and ranked first. It was a bit surprising given the Mi 11 Pro overheating issues complained by users and Xiaomi executives who responded personally.

In any case, seeing the Meizu 18 at the top of the list means that in addition to using the Snapdragon 888, there should also be a correlation with the material and design of the body. To control the body weight at 162 grams, Meizu 18 uses only a small area VC heatsink, which basically conducts heat from the back cover.

In fact, we see that although the ROG Phone 5, iQOO 7 and Samsung Galaxy S21 + are also Snapdragon 888, their temperature is basically kept at around 33 ° C. Of course, it can prove that they are relatively good in terms of heat dissipation and temperature control.

For the other chips, we have the Black Shark 4 with Snapdragon 870 at 35,80 ° C and in second place the OnePlus 9R with a temperature of 34,44 ° C.

Finally, models with Snapdragon 865 / 865Plus of the previous generation flagship processor have a much lower temperature of 32,91 degrees for the Mi 10 Pro.
