Last November, MediaTek announced the Dimension 9200 chipset as the next generation processor. It has equipped some more powerful phones like the vivo X90 Pro. Now, rumors indicate that the semiconductor company plans to launch an upgraded version of the processor, called MediaTek Dimension 9200+. Such information holds the promise of being MediaTek's most powerful chipset to date.
MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ will soon be announced as the company's most powerful chipset and will challenge the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
The tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that MediaTek is working on the Dimension 9200+. From the name it is not difficult to guess that it will be an improved version of the Dimension 9200, carrying a higher frequency on the CPU. The current Dimension 9200 has an eight-core architecture with one 2GHz Cortex-X3, three 710GHz Cortex-A2,85s, and four 510GHz Cortex-A1,8s, as well as the Immortalis-G715 GPU. Based on this, we can assume that the Dimension 9200+ will also have a 1 + 3 + 4 core configuration, with the frequency of the main core exceeding 3,05 GHz. Most likely, it will be produced by TSMC in the second generation of 4-nanometer lithography.
It is worth mentioning that the AnTuTu score of the Dimension 9200 exceeded 1,2 million points, so it is no surprise that the Dimensity 9200+ will exceed 1,3 million points. It should compete with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform, which has a score of over 1,3 million. The launch of the Dimensity 9200 Plus is expected to take place in the second half of the year and manufacturers such as Oppo, live e Xiaomi they would already be negotiating to bring it to their flagship devices.
Which Xiaomi will have MediaTek Dimension 9200+?
Unfortunately we have no official information but considering the company's history, this processor will arrive on Redmi smartphones. We can assume that the Redmi Note 13 will have a MediaTek Dimensty 9200+ or in any case one of the Note 13 family. See you next year, therefore.
