Today Qualcomm exclusively interviewed the Meizu CEO Huang Zhipan. In this interview, the president of the all-quality Chinese giant talked about several things. First of all, he expressed his thanks to all users who have chosen to place their trust in the brand; second he couldn't not remember all the objectives that the company has achieved during the past year; thirdly (which interests us much more) he revealed the Meizu launch period 18.

Meizu Technology CEO Huang Zhipan said that in 2020 Meizu established a strategy of “one body and two wings”: a single company that brings high-end products to the market in the telephony and smart home sector. In fact, we cannot fail to remember the launch of the first Lipro products, the wing (in fact) of the Chinese company that mainly deals with lighting for the smart home. But in addition to these necessary, albeit obvious, clarifications Huang Zhipan stated that Meizu 18 will be out soon. When to be precise?
Clearly no precise date has come out of his mouth: most likely it has not even been decided. However he "let slip" that the period of smartphone launch will be in the spring. This means we could potentially see the first Meizu with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor in a period ranging from late March to mid-June.

To be honest we expected it to arrive earlier, possibly in February. We remember in fact that in two days Xiaomi will launch its first smartphone with Snapdragon 888 and from there all the others will follow the colossus at the wheel. However, it would be a shame if Meizu 18 lost some useful time. We know how recently smartphones are going to devalue quickly and a delay of one / two months could lead to huge losses of money.
