Meizu smartwatches are coming. The brand has in fact just requested trademarks relating to products in the above category.
Meizu asks for the trademarks for MEIZU Watch and Flyme For Watch
According to the Chinese site Qicha, Meizu would have requested the registration of two new brands "MEIZU WATCH" and "FLYME FOR WATCH" on July 20. As we all know, “FLYME” is the name of the operating system that Meizu uses for its mobile phone products.
Both brands have been designated as jewelry and watches in category 14 of the International Classification and are currently under registration.
On June 24 of this year, Meizu announced that it will launch a smartwatch in the fourth quarter of this year, equipped with the Flyme for Watch system.
Meizu Flyme's official WeChat account announced at the time: “Smart visual design and interactive experience shouldn't just be on smartphones. Flyme for Watch, see you in the fourth quarter of 2020 ".
On the poster celebrating the 8th anniversary of the birth of the Flyme system, Meizu also showed the concept map of the Meizu watch with a square display.
Judging by the copywriting of the phrase Flyme for Watch, it is speculated that Flyme will act as a link to break the gap between devices and that other types of products may be launched in the future.
