Official Meta Quest Pro: Mark Zuckerberg's new VR / MR headset costs an arm and a leg

The Meta Quest Pro is the most expensive VR headset ever launched by the company. In fact, we are talking about $ 1100 more than the previous Meta Quest 2.

According to Meta, the higher price is justified by the technologies used in the viewer. So the company seems to have abandoned the entry-level market to move to the business one.

As for the specifications, the Meta Quest Pro is powered by a latest generation mobile Snapdragon chip developed together with Qualcomm which is supposed to bring more advanced graphics. It also comes with improved touch controllers with built-in sensors for better hand tracking, as well as new lenses for a better reading experience.

Another interesting novelty is the addition of some mixed reality features, which blend the real world with the virtual world. Mark Zuckerberg argues that this is an important feature as it takes a step towards the creation of the metaverse.

Recall that Meta is collaborating with other companies for optimized VR headset applications, and one of them is Microsoft with its collaboration apps for Quest VR devices. Some of the Microsoft apps that will be available for VR devices, among them we have Teams, the Microsoft 365 suite and the Xbox Cloud Gaming service.
