Very often we talk about novelties in the MIUI. From poco we have seen how the Dark Mode will be revolutionized in the latest custom skin, or how the same interface can warn if the hardware components of our smartphone have been replaced. In short, we cannot say that Xiaomi developers are idle. Now let's talk about an application that, thanks to instant messaging apps, is not used a lot but that could have its own because in the absence of internet. This is theapp Messages, updated by poco with so much new. Let's see which ones.

As mentioned above, thanks to applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram e Messenger, the SMS app "Messages"Is now poco used. The new generations now do not even know what an SMS is, but it is never too late to learn. In fact, if we think about it, it might be useful to send a text message without the help of the internet line. When this is absent, for example, we cannot remain out of the world. Xiaomi knows this and in the MIUI has added new features to make the app in question even more complete. We took a short clip to go through all of the news.
The first news concerns the settings. Going into the gear at the top right we see that we are presented with a whole new interface. Here it is possible change how messages are viewed on the main screen. The new options are shown above. In particular it is possible:
- show the profile photo, if any, next to the text message on the left;
- automatically assign a photo or image to contacts who do not have one;
- show blocked messages.
As you can see in the short video, each option corresponds to a change in the interface. But these are not the only new features: by creating a new text message and adding an attachment with the + on the left, let's see how the elements to add screen has been completely redesigned. The options present, despite everything, are always the same. At the moment we have tried the application on MIUI 12 and MIUI 11 and it seems to work.
