Moto Edge X30 has overheating issues with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1

Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen1, Motorola Edge X30 achieved a score of over 1 million on AnTuTu earlier this month. The chip in question outperforms the Snapdragon 888 by around 60% in terms of GPU performance, and has 4nm process technology. And it's 10% faster too. However, a reputable source has leaked a problem.

In the Moto Edge X30, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 gets hot

This is Ice Universe, a well-known insider, who confirmed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 overheating problems. The latter, in particular, turned out to be extremely hot in Motorola devices. Specifically, the problem is escalating on the Motorola Edge X30.

It is very likely that the chip is suffering from a severe one thermal throttling. Already a previous study suggested that Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 could have this problem. All this would be due to the new ARM architecture, which according to the well-known insider would not be as good as the one Apple uses in its chipsets. That the launch of the smartphone can take place with another processor?

For the moment, Motorola has not made any statements on the matter. We will see in the coming weeks if the American house will deny or confirm these latest rumors.
