According to what has been published poco ago from Bloomberg, the Cupertino giant would be working on a Rugged Apple Watch, specially designed for use by sportsmen. Suitable for extreme situations and environments, this new smartwatch should - according to leaked rumors - come out already this year.
Within the Californian company there is already a nickname for this new device, or "Explorer Edition". And in terms of technical characteristics? It should be very similar to the long-awaited Apple Watch 7, at least from the point of view of functions, but with an extra something in terms of resistance.
New Apple Watch: here is the super armored rugged model
Yes, because unlike all the other Cupertino smartwatches, this rugged Apple Watch would have one reinforced shell and a rubberized coating capable of increasing water resistance (which is now 50 meters deep).
Therefore, Apple wants even more to consolidate its dominance in the smartwatch market, which already sees it in first place with more than 100 million units on the wrist of users around the world. The launch of the “rugged project” could already take place in 2021, but it cannot be ruled out that it may occur at the beginning of 2022.
There is no certainty at the moment, not even that Apple will actually materialize the final realization of an Apple Watch Rugged. But the intention is there: we have to see if it will remain so or if it will become reality.
