Nokia will bring 4G internet to the moon this year

Il 2025 it will be an important year for man: there should be a landing on the moon and the consequent start of communications on Earth. A simple thing, it would seem, except that we are light years away from our first satellite. AND Nokia will bring 4G internet to the moon just to facilitate the communication between the two points. The announcement comes from the official website of the company. Let's see the details.

Thanks to the efforts of NASA and Nokia, 4G Internet will arrive on the Moon before 2025. This will be the year of humanity's breakthrough

In 2025, NASA astronauts are expected to go to the Moon and, before their arrival, the agency plans to implement the mobile communications on earth satellite. The implementation of the project was entrusted to Nokia - representatives of the brand have already explained why astronauts need 4G and on which rocket the network equipment will go into space.

According to the plan, astronauts on the moon will use 4G Internet for voice and video communication, telemetry exchange and robot control. To do this, you need to deliver network equipment there. According to Nokia, in partnership with aerospace contractors Lunar Outpost e Intuitive Machines, everything necessary for communication in space has already been prepared.

The deployment of the “lunar cellular network” is scheduled for November this year. The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is expected to deliver Intuitive Machines' Nova-C lander with equipment to Shackleton crater, located in the southern part of the moon. Then NASA specialists will perform other necessary setup operations and, if all goes according to plan, the astronauts will be able to contact Earth via their smartphones in 2025.

It is worth mentioning that in the last period NASA has started and is completing several projects with respect to the Luna project. One of them is the new generation space suit and rover VIPER. The latter, specifically, began its construction just a few days ago.
